Footsteps
Our Experimental Animation class was invited to create animations for the Ann Arbor Film Festival. I was just going to do a cute walk cycle through downtown Ann Arbor and ending at the Michigan Theater. However, while I was looking up walk cycles, the first one that i found that was not a generic female was a sexy lady labeled “Female woman walk cycle 1.”
This made me incredibly angry. That’s not how women look or walk. I made this animation, rotoscoping over my friends walking to show that women don’t have to be confined to that sexy animation lady stereotype.
